Leadership Pike County

Leadership Pike CountyLeadership Pike County is a training and technical assistance program that builds teams of emerging leaders from Pike County from differing classes, ethnicity, and geography. Selection is targeted to emerging leader-citizens who have assumed leadership roles in their communities, but may not hold established positions.

Participants in the program attend an opening retreat and five more day-long training seminars during a six-month period. A graduation program is held during the Annual Pike County Chamber of Commerce Dinner. The academy curriculum weaves together topics crucial to the development of community such as education, economic development, environment, health and social services, government, and other core components. Key leadership skills are integrated into each session. Participants are encouraged to apply their previous and newly acquired skills throughout the program.
